New Administrative Block Project Begins at Oti SHS

The Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, has handed over a site for the construction of a new administrative block at Oti Senior High School in the Krachi East Municipality.

The project is expected to be completed within nine months and forms part of ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the Oti Region. The new facility is anticipated to enhance administrative work at the school and provide a better working environment for staff.

At the handover ceremony, Hon. Gyapong called on the contractor to strictly follow the project timeline and deliver quality work. He noted that completing the project on schedule would help improve the efficiency of the school’s administration.

He explained that the initiative is in line with the government’s broader goal of accelerating development in the region, particularly within the education sector. According to him, investment in school infrastructure remains key to improving the quality of education and strengthening institutional management.

The Minister also stressed the importance of safety during construction. He pointed out that the project site is within a functioning secondary school, making it a sensitive area that requires careful handling. He therefore directed the contractor to observe strict safety measures and ensure that only competent workers are engaged.

Hon. Gyapong added that maintaining high safety standards would help prevent accidents and ensure that work progresses smoothly without disruptions. He assured that the project would be closely monitored to ensure that it meets the required standards and is completed on time.

The new administrative block is expected to address space and coordination challenges currently faced by staff of the school. With improved office facilities, the school’s management is likely to operate more effectively.

Overall, the project reflects continued efforts to expand and upgrade educational facilities across the Oti Region to meet growing needs.
